Leírás: Thirteen numbered captions separate the following scenes. Soldiers parade and drill in front of the ornate oriental facade of a pavilion (Indian ?) erected for one of the pre-war international exhibitions (Imperial of 1909 ?) held at White City, Shepherds Bush in West London. The Prince of Wales' Company (leading company of the 1st Battalion) returns from a route march. Soldiers practise bayonet exercises before engaging each other in bayonet fighting, using stakes and head guards. Soldiers and several civilians watch the "Noble Art" of boxing. Men line up on Pay-Day to salute and collect money. Officers and sergeants pose separately for camera against upper level of exotic pavilion. View of sergeants lined up drinking against bar in their mess, and of the Men's Quarters where soldiers sit and stand round beds in large hall. Film concludes with scenes from football match between the Welsh Guards and the Gloucester Regiment in the White City stadium and a caption appeal "His Majesty's Welsh Guards require another 1,000 men. CYMRU AM BYTH" (Wales for Ever - the Welsh Guards motto).
Training and off-duty scenes in the exotic White City Exhibition Grounds with the 1st Battalion culminate in recruitment appeal, spring/summer 1915.
